trails

When I was about 30 and living at Broken head I had a McTavish 9', my own shape 6',a Barry Kanaipuni original 6'5"and a 5'4" kneeboard .
The kneeboard was my favourite for any kind of surf ,onshore or offshore up to 2'to 3' after 3' it would just spin out, as it was a single fin,but to surf this board was like surfing a skateboard with my front foot being about 1/2 a metre back from the nose most of the time, it was total freedom in the small stuff and when I was building the 2 shred sleds,
many memories .......
If I was to make a Sled for myself I'd lean towards a Quad set up so as to drive the boards a bit harder on the turns, but i cant see myself on one these days ,ain't as quick as I used to be.
Anyway its early days and as I get more feedback I'll fill you in on the news,
so until then Adios and long may u surf
